The Wanderers Character Selection

English Bobbies . The original, the best and the most popular of the Wanderers’ characters are the English Bobbies.  Dressed traditionally in authentic looking costumes (not with little plastic helmets), Constables Bob, Bob & Bob are on a police exchange program booking people for an array of silly offences like sitting in a “No Standing” zone, poor tread on sand shoes, bad conversation techniques and more. Forget Motorway Patrol – these Bobbies have all misdemeanors covered!

Human Statues. An amazing array of human statue performers for almost any theme
Thargomindah Lifesavers. Look out – country meets city with hilarious results!  The Thargomindah Lifesavers are on a recruitment drive and their club needs YOU!  As professional lifesavers they take their jobs very seriously – if only there was an ocean in Thargomindah then they could really do some good work!  Their job is limited to doing laps in the rainwater tank and CPR (Cow Pat Removal, that is!).  Great comic characters for all manner of themes – beach, Aussie and just plain crazy!
Disco Dazzlers. Very talented with hilarious patter, the Disco Dazzlers are dressed in silver sequined outfits and extra large Afro wigs performing various 1970’s routines and let’s face it – who hasn’t boogied the night away to a seventies tune?  If you’re into “Stayin’ Alive” and “Shakin’ Ya Groove Thang” then the Disco Dazzlers are for you!
Coolatak. The mild rockers from the 50’s, with large Elvis and/or beehive-style wigs and glittery suits are tooooo coool!  They make Michael Jackson’s Bad look good, they wear sunglasses to bed, they are a just a roving hunka hunka burning love!  As a duo, trio or even foursome, this groovy group will sashay away your blues, shake, rattle and roll away your cares and won’t stop until Elvis has left the building!
Kimonettes. Dressed in beautiful traditional Japanese Wedding Kimonos, the duo or trio will mesmerize the crowd with their slow, silent and graceful movements. At times the Kimonettes position themselves as human statues amazing onlookers when they realise that the performers are actually real people!
Fat Jockeys. Introducing Shane Dyet, Mick Fattman & Lester Pigout - three of the more “not so agile” and “not so light” jockeys.  Dressed in colourful satin jockey silks, matching helmets, white jodhpurs and black boots, their movements are slow & sluggish and they’re never too keen to ride anything except a Sushi Train.
Posh Party. Ever been to a function where your friend’s dad and uncle have had too much to drink?  Times that by ten and you’ll get the idea of Posh Party!  New Year’s Eve 2000 was a great party – and they still think they’re at it.  Armed with empty bottles of booze and a never-ending array of Bar Jokes, The Posh Party boys are in town to stay!
Pressed for Time Paparazzi.   “Maam!! Excuse me Maam!  Is it true what they say about Brad choosing you over Angelina??  Can I quote you on that??”  With a never ending stream of chatter, Pressed For Time are the most hard-nosed newshounds this side of this Daily Planet.
Aussie Family . Direct from the bush, this odd ball family has it’s roots firmly planted in Australian heritage.  Dad, Dave, Mabel and Grandma are all here…along with some ring-ins of course.  Breaking into Aussie songs and teaching a square dance step, The Steele Family Rudd remind us all that somewhere, we’ve all got some skeletons in the cupboard!
Crazy Fishermen . Ned and Ted are from Fannie Bay in the Northern Territory and represent the famous Fannie Bay Fishing Fanatics.   This crazy duo is keen to share their bizarre fishing experiences and techniques. You’ll be amazed where they will pop up:  a golf course water trap; South Bank Beach; underneath a bridge; and even the bathroom of a fine hotel with their line down the sink.
Tea Ladies. Flo and Beryl are members of the Collinsville Country Women’s Association and woe-betide anyone who tells them different!  There’s nothing like country hospitality, and Beryl and Flo are nothing like it.
Fish Stix. Soaring high above your guests’ heads, the Flying Fish School provides wonderful photo opportunities for local and overseas guests alike.  Carried by people, the fish are the real stars in this act.  For your very own piece of the Barrier Reef, you can’t go past the Flying Fish School.
Prince Charming. Finding a princess in this day and age is not easy – just ask Prince Charming and his faithful man servant Maggot.  Searching high and low for a suitable girl is their priority and wherever they go humour and laughs are sure to follow.
TV Heads. A very visual and unusual duo or trio.
The Doormen. The ideal act at the entrance to your next event
